Mobile Media Laboratory

New era of telecom network especially mobile network will involve more from media industry and computer industry, but mainly media industry. Content and Media becomes more and more important for people would like to take advantage of the newly available bandwidth so as to run the business over mobile environment, that is, mobile economy.

Mobile network becomes more complicate with huge computer terminal environment. TO cater for the requirement of media, a mobile media laboratory is setup to help media from different channels to reach mobile subscriber in a quick and easy way.

Basically, we categorize three channels for Media: Standard Media (pre-defined material), Special Media (generated by real-time processing system or etc), 3rd Party channel (material provided through 3rd Party on request).

Based on the real sources of the content channel, content tools are provided to cater for easy integration with the system.

At present, the content processing functional modules include 3 modules at present:

Transcoding Engine: provide Transcoding testing for content, such as: MMS content, video content for VOD, real-time content for streaming etc;

Compatibility Testing Environment: compatibility testing with different kinds of terminals by different ways, including SDK/Handset and some kind of experience by marketing side;

Content Processing Environment: to test some functionality for certain content, including: DRM processing, filtering testing, content editing environment etc.

After such a testing and processing, the content from different media will be provided as real commercial content for application/services over mobile network in a timely and cost-effective way.
